Plot Summary
Gabriel Antinori is a young priest and university professor of theology. Beloved by his students for his unconventional intelligence, Gabriel explores the boundaries between science and faith by studying the world of so-called paranormal phenomena. Gabriel collaborates with the Congregation of Truth, an ecclesiastical institution that verifies rationally inexplicable events. Following his encounter with the captivating psychologist Claudia Munari, a surprising connection ignites, an irresistible attraction, spontaneous and passionate yet unrealizable. And their collaboration will create a special chemistry, one that can only arise from the seductive juxtaposition of rationality and faith, science and spirituality. The second season of The Thirteenth Apostle picks up where everything left off: is Gabriel truly the Chosen One who will overthrow the church, or will he be able to change his destiny? Servants and the Candelaio organization seem defeated, but in reality, there's still much to discover in order to stop them and understand the reasons for their fight, which, from the very beginning, proves even more threatening and dangerous. To complicate matters, Gabriel has given up on his relationship with Claudia, but he has never stopped loving her.
