Plot Summary
After 12 years in prison, Carla Sagmeister is finally released. Due to an erroneous expert opinion by forensic scientist Dr. Borchert, she was innocently convicted of the manslaughter of her lover. Back in freedom, she wants to force Dr. Borchert to reopen her case in order to prove her innocence. The scientist himself begins to have doubts. Meanwhile, Carla takes a journey into her past and reconnects with her family for the first time.
