Plot Summary
Based on the novel by Henry James. In mid-19th-century New York, a young, plain-looking heiress named Catherine Sloper is courted by a handsome young man who is only after her money. Although her love for him is unwavering, her domineering father will force her to confront the harsh reality by threatening to disinherit her.
