Co-author of the scientific paper: "Black hole entropy and soft hair" with Stephen Hawking, Sasha Haco and Andrew Strominger. He is a British theoretical physicist and Professor Emeritus of Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge and Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Queen Mary University of London.
