Patrick Collins
Biography
Patrick Collins was a porn director, producer, and actor (initially under the pseudonym Roscoe Bowltree), and was the co-founder (with Evil Angel's John Stagliano) of the major porn studio Elegant Angel. Collins began working for then-new studio Evil Angel in 1989 as a sales manager, and helped that studio grow, but the two had very different working styles, and Collins soon broke away with Elegant Angel, which went on to be a major and award-winning studio in its own right, and the studio fully split from Evil Angel to be fully independent in 1996. Collins and Elegant Angel gave several now well-known directors their start, including Tom Byron, Mason, Rob Black (Extreme Associates), Nicky Starks, and Axel Braun (son of legend porn director Lasse Braun). After running Elegant Angel for more than 20 years, Collins stepped away in 2013 and the studio has been through several owners, and has been owned by Adult Empire since 2022. Collins, who had suffered from various health issues of late, died in his sleep in his Los Angeles-area home on August 11, 2024, at the age of 77.
